Our Voices: Conversations of Disability is a podcast series launched in 2021. I discuss disability-related issues independently and with disabled, mad, deaf and neurodivergent folks within the Disability Studies field. The concept of this name derive from the idea pertaining to how disabled voices contribute to changing societal attitudes, challenge predominant ableist biases and ideologies from medical professionals, and making communities accessible-friendly. The podcast covers thought-provoking themes that remain integral to Disability Studies: the history of eugenics, mad studies, disability rights movement, media representations, employments issues in the workforce, disability justice and intersectionality, colonialism, disability arts culture, research methodologies, critical race theory, and many more. Examples of guest stars I've interviewed: Stephanie Haft, Ghofran Alyass, and Kayla Besse.
